The beautiful tropical climate of Darwin leads many people to the water and there’s plenty of opportunities to get wet. Darwin has three public swim centres, Lake Alexander, the Waterfront, Waterslides and private exercise pools. Do a few laps, paddle a SUP or stretch it out in a heated pool.
Darwin harbour is five times larger than Sydney Harbour and there is plenty of room for watercraft. You will often see sailboats, paddleboards, kayaks, outrigger canoes and every sort of fishing boat possible zipping around the calm tropical waters.
