Deckchair Cinema

One of Darwin's most loved and iconic venues is the Deckchair Cinema. Nestled on the shore of Darwin Harbour and fringed by remnant rainforest the Deckchair Cinema is the most amazing venue to experience an outdoor movie.

Conveniently located within easy walk of the City Centre and the Waterfront, the Deckchair Cinema offers meals and a bar that can be enjoyed before the show. A leafy dining area provides spectacular views across the harbour where you can enjoy Darwin's famous sunset. 

As the sky darkens and stars begin to appear. Take your seat in one of the 250 deckchair style seats. The local tip is to grab a pillow from the storage box provided. Get comfy, lie back and get set for the experience of a life time.

The Cinema is run by the Darwin Film Society and screens a diverse range of films including Australian, Foreign Language, Family movies and the Classics. It operates seven nights a week from April to November and opens from 6pm.
