Adventure is all around in Darwin

Living in Darwin means living close to Adventure

One of the great things about calling Darwin home, is that you don’t have to venture too far out of the city to satisfy your sense of Adventure.

Darwin offers Aboriginal cultural experiences, nature, waterfalls, wildlife and some of the most fascinating characters and stories – imagine having all this right in your own backyard!

All of these amazing experiences can be done in day trips from Darwin:

  • Litchfield National Park – Jump in the car and head out the Stuart Highway for a dip in some of the best waterfalls in the country! Head to Florence Falls and Buley Rockhole & check them out, but if it’s busy and you don’t mind a little hike, try Cascades for a quieter dip! The Litchfield Hotel is a groovy little place to stop for lunch, or pack a picnic for extra swim time!
  • A road trip out the Arnhem Highway – You need a couple of days to get any further out to Kakadu, but if you’re keen on a little day trip, you can stop in at the famous Humpty Doo, Join a cultural tour at Pudakul, check out Fogg Dam, or jump aboard a Corroboree Billabong cruise on some beautiful NT wetlands. OR after a look at the Jumping Crocs, head to Purple Mango Brewery for pizza and mango beers, or stop in at the newly renovated Bark Hut for a pub meal!
  • Barramundi Adventures & Berry Springs – Catch a famous Barra at Barramundi Adventures, before checking out the beautiful oasis that is Berry Springs (you can’t swim there yet, though!) and grabbing a meal at the Berry Springs Tavern.
  • Crab Claw Island & Dundee Beach – Explore some remote NT coastline before heading back via lunch overlooking an island that isn’t an island – the Crab Claw Island Resort.
  • See it all from the air – If you’ve got bucket lists to tick off, why not go all out and go on a Heli-pub crawl!!
