Discover Lee Point Beach: Lee Point Beach is a great place to take the dog for a walk. I have been taking my fur baby to Lee Point since he was a puppy and loves the freedom he has there. Running through the water, chasing his ball and playing with other dogs. It’s a great way to relax after a work day.

Discover Leanyer Water Park: Leanyer Water Park is such a fun way to cool off with the kids and the best thing is… IT’S FREE !!! What City has this on offer, wow! My son loves playing in the water playground and he is patiently waiting until he is tall enough to ride the big water slides, but until then the big pool & play equipment provides more than enough entertainment.

There is a kiosk & stalls there to purchase food and drinks, or bring your own. We also go there for children’s birthday parties, hanging up balloons and streams, cooking a BBQ lunch and I think most of the parents love it as much as the kids do.

Discover Show N Shine: Show N Shine is organised by the NT Gassers Car Club in Darwin. The first Friday of each month sees car enthusiasts meet at Darwin Fisherman’s Wharf to display their pride and joy. Many families/ friends will make a night of it – having dinner in the CBD nearby or fish & chips on the wharf and then take a stroll and appreciate the vehicles being shown. Darwin is home to a lot of car lovers for sure and the best in town are displayed each month for all to enjoy.

Discover Messy Bubs -  Messy Bubs is a playgroup that offers multi-sensory messy play for babies 5+ months, toddlers and children (and the adults might get messy too). They offer weekly sessions, events/parties and workshops. My toddler LOVED the messy bubs mornings and we were regular attendees. It was so nice watching him having such a great time and knowing that he could make all the mess he wanted, with natural and safe ingredients, all while learning…..and I didn’t have to clean up afterward….. well except for cleaning my son 😊

Discover the Nightcliff Foreshore: When I first moved to Darwin I was blown away by the views on offer while taking my daily walks along the Nightcliff Foreshore, this was unlike the hassle & bustle of the other capital cities that I was so used to. The beautiful blue water, the palm trees and big open spaces made it feel more like I was on a holiday island, not doing my daily workout, and it was right there on my door step.

The foreshore comes alive each day; early morning with people exercising, right through to the beautiful afternoons where families are enjoying picnics, kids are playing in the playgrounds and of course THAT SUNSET !!!! It’s a perfect place to end the day and relax….and also a great background for some Insta worthy pics.

Discover Territory Day: Territory Day is one of my most favourite days/ events of the year in Darwin. Hanging out at the beach with friends, having good food, good music, good times. Then it’s time to light the fireworks and enjoy the display not just from the fireworks that we purchased but from everyone else on the beach and in the neighbourhood. It’s a great night for sure.
